Strategy Aghmashenebeli leader claims regime fears empowered citizens

“They have shut down funds that used to provide financial assistance to individuals who were beaten and arrested on false charges by the regime. Now they intrude into people’s homes because the regime is afraid of free citizens,” stated Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.

Vashadze emphasized that Georgia requires greater unity and courage at this critical juncture.

“This is a regime of fear, masked by false accusations, theatrical court proceedings, and midnight raids. Nanuka Zhorzholiani poses a threat to them because she bravely speaks the truth and stands with the people. This is the panic of Ivanishvili, and we must recognize that Georgia urgently needs more unity, organization, and courage at this decisive moment,” he asserted.

Police also conducted searches at the residence of Aleko Tskitishvili, Executive Director of the Human Rights Centre, at the homes of journalist and Nanuka Fund founder Nanuka Zhorzholiani, as well as Mariam Bajelidze, one of the founders of the Sirtskhvilia (Shame) movement.
