The Training Center of the State Security Service of Georgia has been transformed into the State Security Academy, the institution announced.

According to the academy, the change represents a systemic reform and a significant institutional innovation in the field of state security.

The academy will be granted the status of a higher educational institution and will offer a one-year master’s program in state security aimed at training highly qualified specialists with both theoretical and practical competencies. The program will combine courses in national and international security with specialized subjects focused on physical, tactical, firearms, and psychological training.

Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification will be eligible to enroll based on the results of the national master’s examinations and an internal exam administered by the academy. Education at the academy will be free of charge.

The institution will also be authorized to implement special professional education programs designed to deepen professional knowledge and develop practical skills, the statement said.
