State Security Service: No detentions or interrogations planned for individuals whose homes were searched today
The State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) has stated that none of the eight individuals whose homes were searched have been detained.
They further clarified that while these individuals will be questioned after the examination of the seized items, no interrogations are scheduled for today.
“A thorough investigation of the seized electrical equipment and other items, including their origins, will be conducted. Only then will legal assessments be made. At this stage, no one is being questioned or detained,” the SSSG explained.
During a briefing at the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia earlier today, the Prosecutor General, Giorgi Gvarakidze, announced that searches had been carried out at the homes of Georgia’s former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, former Head of the State Security Service of Georgia Grigol Liluashvili, and former Prosecutor General Otar Partskhaladze, and their associates. The Prosecutor’s Office reported the seizure of electronic devices, documents, and a substantial amount of money.
