State Minister attends Novruz Bayramı festive events in Lagodekhi

Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Tea Akhvlediani attended Novruz Bayramı festive events in Kabali village, Lagodekhi municipality.

The State Minister addressed the Azerbaijani ethnic community and congratulated them on the celebration.

“Dear fellow citizens and those who celebrate this centuries-long tradition. Georgia is historically distinguished by its ethnic and cultural diversity, rich traditions, and intercultural relations, the protection and strengthening of which is one of our tasks within the framework of the civic equality and integration policy.

Celebrating Novruz Bayramı together and sharing the joy of this holiday is a symbolic expression and confirmation of this. Congratulations once again, I wish you peace, health and prosperity!” she said.

The State Minister, alongside Lagodekhi Mayor Jondo Mdivnishvili, MP Guram Macharashvili and representatives of local government visited ethnic booths displaying handmade items, paintings and musical instruments.

Together with the young people, Tea Akhvlediani participated in the bonfire lighting ceremonial ritual.
