State Department Spokesperson says US sends heartfelt condolences to Georgia

The US sends heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who died in the Gudauri helicopter crash, US Department of State Spokesperson, Ned Price wrote on Twitter.

“We send our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of all those on board the Georgian border police helicopter that crashed in Gudauri today. The U.S. stands with our Georgian friends and partners at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia,” he said.

A border police helicopter on a rescue operation in Gudauri crashed on July 29, killing eight people.
