Glasgow attack: Suspect shot dead by police

The stabbing attack has happened at a hotel stairwell in Glasgow city centre today, the BBC reported.

According to Assistant chief constable Steve Johnson, the suspect was shot dead by armed police. Six other people are in hospital for treatment to their injuries including a police officer, who is in a critical but stable condition.”

The police “urges the public not to speculate about this incident or share unconfirmed information on social media.”

An eye witness to the major incident in Glasgow City Centre has told LBC he saw a man enter the reception area and stab two people.
