SSSG: Russian occupation forces illegally detain Georgian citizen near Kveshi, Gori municipality

“Representatives of the Russian occupation forces have unlawfully detained a Georgian citizen near the village of Kveshi in Gori municipality,” the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) said in a statement.

The SSSG swiftly reported the incident to the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) and international partners.

“All available mechanisms have been activated to secure the immediate release of the illegally detained Georgian citizen. The occupying force is responsible for all destructive actions in the occupied territories of Georgia and along the occupation line,” the statement affirms.
