SSG head pays tribute to heroes of Shindisi battle

Grigol Liluashvili, the head of the State Security Service, honoured the memory of the heroes who died on August 11, 2008, near the village of Shindisi.

According to the State Security Service, on August 11, 2008, 17 Georgian soldiers from the 2nd Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Defense Forces were killed during an unequal clash with a Russian military unit.
