Sports Minister Shalva Gogoladze meets Armenian counterpart in Tbilisi #1TVSPORT

Georgian Minister of Sports Shalva Gogoladze hosted Zhanna Andreasyan, Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, on Wednesday for high-level talks focused on expanding bilateral athletic cooperation between the two neighbouring nations.

During the meeting, Gogoladze and Andreasyan discussed strengthening joint initiatives in elite performance sports and grassroots athletic participation. Both ministers highlighted the valuable potential for exchange programmes in sports medicine and sports science.

The discussions centred on operational preparations for co-hosting the 2029 FIFA U-20 World Cup, alongside planned sports infrastructure developments across Georgia and Armenia. Following the talks, Minister Gogoladze confirmed to make an official return visit to Yerevan in the near future.
