Special Investigation Service reports surge in solving crimes by law enforcers
The Special Investigation Service reported the year-on-year surge in solving the crimes committed by law enforcers in 2023.
The Special Investigation Service presented its annual report to the parliament on March 31, highlighting timely response to violence and misuse of duties and the launch of criminal prosecution against law enforcers.
The service said it opened the investigation in 291 cases and solved 81 crimes in 2022. The crime-solving rate was 28%. In 2023, the service probed into 336 cases and solved 118 crimes, which makes 35%.
