Speaker's visit to Azerbaijan to boost Georgia-Azerbaijan relations, Ambassador said
Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, expressed confidence that the ongoing visit of the Georgian parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, to Azerbaijan, would provide an additional impetus to the relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador highlighted that crucial issues would be on the agenda during the visit. Pataradze emphasized the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, noting the high dynamics in their relations. He anticipated the discussions during the visit would significantly contribute to the bilateral friendly and strategic relationship between the two nations.
“You are well aware of our Prime Minister’s peace initiative, and we are making successful strides in that direction. Georgia’s mediation is of utmost importance. Recently, we witnessed a trilateral meeting of the Prime Ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in Tbilisi. Before that, President Ilham Aliyev visited, laying the groundwork for essential discussions. Given the important issues on the agenda, I am confident that we will have the opportunity to discuss these matters more collaboratively,” the Ambassador said.
