Georgian, Azerbaijani PMs meet

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan on Thursday.

The conversation focused on the strategic partnership and close friendly relations between the two countries. The high-level strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan was underlined.

Irakli Garibashvili and Ali Asadov discussed ways of further deepening the close and productive political, economic, transport, energy, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

The high-level political dialogue between the two countries was noted. The conversation also touched on the security situation in the region and worldwide.

“Held productive talks with Azerbaijani PM Ali Asadov in the frames of the 9th Session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Discussed issues on regional stability, economic cooperation, energy security and the prospects of further strengthening Georgia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership,” PM Garibashvili wrote on Twitter.
