Speaker: We knew not only how such wars start, but also how they end, we also knew when red carpets are rolled out and removed
“We knew not only how such wars start, but also how they end,” wrote Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili in his Facebook post.
The Speaker remarked on the recent statement of Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary-General.
“It’s normal if the war would have stopped for Europe somehow, step by step, and also for the US, step by step, to restore normal relations with Russia,” Rutte said in an interview on Bloomberg TV Friday. “But we are absolutely not there yet, we have to maintain the pressure on them to guarantee that Russia takes the negotiations seriously,” he said.
According to the Speaker, what happened once will occur again.
“We knew not only how such wars start, but also how they end, we also knew when red carpets are rolled out and when they are removed. ‘what was, will be the same and what happened will happen again. Nothing is new under the Sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9),” he wrote.
