Speaker Papuashvili says Georgian Maduro is confined in Rustavi Prison No. 12

“Georgia is not a global superpower, so our assessment of international processes holds little significance; there is no comprehensive international security system, and everyone acts in accordance with their own national interests,” stated the Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.

He further asserted that the European Union, as a true global power, no longer exists, and with its current policies, it will never attain such status.

“We need to reflect on what truly matters. Instead of waving foreign flags, let us hold the Georgian flag high. Let everyone turn their gaze towards Georgian values. We have seen what foreign values have brought us. Let us look to our own traditions and consider the words of the Patriarch in yesterday’s epistle regarding many problematic issues, including the language of hatred that exists in Georgia. Let us look forward in this way,” he said.

Additionally, regarding the detention of Venezuelan President Maduro, Papuashvili remarked, “The Georgian Maduro is confined in our Rustavi Prison No. 12.”
