Speaker on Rubio’s refusal to meet Kallas: Consequence of Brussels’ reckless activism over responsible foreign policy

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, has reacted on social media to reports circulated by Politico, which state that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has declined to hold a bilateral meeting with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

“This is what happens when Brussels is preoccupied with reckless activism instead of pursuing responsible foreign policy,” wrote Shalva Papuashvili.

According to Politico, the EU’s top diplomat “has been kept out of the spotlight, given her sometimes difficult relationship with the Trump administration.”
