Speaker: Novruz Bayramı unites people of different nationalities, religions

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Azerbaijani fellow citizens on the Novruz Bayramı celebration in Marneuli, the Kvemo Kartli region.

According to the Speaker, Georgia is a multiethnic country.

“Novruz Bayramı is an important day for our society, not only because of its cultural traditions but also because this celebration unites representatives of different nations and religions. Today in Marneuli we celebrate Novruz Bayramı together, the spring and revival day. May we live in peaceful, united and strong Georgia,” he said.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, President Mikheil Kavelashvili and State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tea Akhvlediani addressed the locals.

Public Defender Levan Ioseliani, Kvemo Kartli Governor Giorgi Dokhturishvili and executive authorities participated in festive activities.
