Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met Foreign Ministers of Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Iceland, Baiba Braže, Margus Tsahkna, Gabrielius Landsbergis, and Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir.

The sides reviewed the bill on Transparency of Foreign Influence adopted by the parliament with the third reading on May 14. The Foreign Ministers expressed their concern, while the Georgian side emphasized the lack of transparency and the need for its resolution in the non-profit organizations’ sphere.

The parties focused on the future steps and expressed readiness for a dialogue. Deputy Speaker Nino Tsilosani, Foreign Relations Committee Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze, and European Integration Committee Chairwoman Maka Botchorishvili attended the meeting.
