Speaker: Georgian people to hear decision on December 14-15 recognizing historical truth that Georgia is part of European family

“Nothing will obstruct the Georgian people from hearing the decision upcoming on December 14-15, which recognizes the historical truth that Georgia is a part of the European family,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

According to Shalva Papuashvili, whether it be a favourable opinion or supportive political statement, there are all prerequisites to expect granting the EU candidate status to Georgia.

“Within the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministerial, we heard statements from our EU member friend countries. I think all prerequisites are in place. We have a positive conclusion, and we have a supportive political mood. Nothing obstructs the Georgian people to hear on December 14-15 the decision that recognizes the historical truth that Georgia is part of the European family,” he said.
