Speaker: Georgia does its best for integration into Euro-Atlantic space

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will hold high-level meetings in Brussels, said Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Speaker, Georgia does its best for the integration into the Euro-Atlantic space and it is up to the partners to make a decision.

“The first visit when election on a high political position is always significant. Making the right decision over the first visit is important. Our choice was to make a signal to our partners on our foreign political course,” the Speaker said, adding the ball was now in the court of Georgia’s partners.

“We hope that they will be as brave as Georgia has been for decades,” he said.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is in Brussels on his first visit. He will lead the Georgian delegation at the 8th meeting of the EU-Georgia Association Council.

The PM will meet the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg and participate in the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting within the framework of his visit to Brussels.
