“The irresponsible policies of EU leaders have pushed Europe to the very brink of a civilisational crisis, endangering economic stability, eroding cultural identity, and undermining the fundamental values of the European project,” stated Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, on social media.

As Papuashvili emphasises, the European Union can no longer ignore these alarming developments.

“It is crucial that the main partner and security guarantor of Brussels, the United States, now addresses the issues we have long been raising with Brussels. It is no longer merely a warning from the Georgian government; it is a warning echoing from within the West itself, waking Europe up to the urgent need to resolve a systemic and increasingly deepening political crisis.

The reckless policies of EU leaders have brought Europe to the edge of a civilisational abyss, where economic stability is slipping away, cultural identity is under threat, and the core values underpinning the European idea are being questioned. The EU can no longer ignore these processes. Decisive political action and a thorough review of existing approaches are imperative,” Papuashvili concludes.
