Spanish Foreign Minister – There are no political problems in Georgia

There are no political problems in Georgia and Madrid will not give asylum to Georgian citizens with that motive – Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Josep Borrell said.

According to the Spanish edition cope.es, Spanish Foreign Minister made this statement during the meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani.

Josep Borrell said that the number of asylum seekers had to be decreased and people did not have to waste money and time on those goals, which would not be reached.

Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Josep Borrell met with Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Davit Zalkaliani on January 28. Borrell said that Spain supports Georgia’s aspiration to become a full-fledged member of the European Union and NATO.
