Snow and blizzards forecast for Georgia from February 9-12

The National Environment Agency issued a weather forecast predicting snow, fog, blizzards, and potential avalanches in various parts of Georgia from February 9 to 12.

According to the agency, widespread blizzards and frost may require traffic restrictions across the country, particularly in mountainous regions, including Adjara, Racha-Lechkhumi, and Svaneti, where a medium threat level will prevail.

Meteorologists predict that temperatures will plummet to 0 degrees Celsius during the day and drop to as low as -6 degrees Celsius at night in eastern Georgia.

Meanwhile, Tbilisi is expected to experience cloudy conditions with rain at night, while snow is forecasted to fall in Tbilisi, Kakheti, and Shida Kartli on February 20.
