The first sitting of National Security Council headed by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze will be held today.
Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Internal Affairs will be appointed as Secretary of National Security Council. The corresponding order was issued by PM based on the rule of National Security Policy Planning and Coordination.
The National Security Council is an 8-member body. Its permanent members are Ministers of Internal Affairs, Defense, Foreign Affairs and Finance as well as head of surveillance service and chief of armed forces.
