According to the National Environmental Agency of Georgia, weather forecasters anticipate predominantly rainy conditions across the country on August 21.

“From the night of August 21 through to the end of the day, short-term rainfall is expected in most of Western Georgia and some areas of Eastern Georgia, with heavy rain in certain locations. In some regions, very heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong westerly winds may occur, particularly in the mountainous parts of Western Georgia,” the agency stated.

The forecast warns that the expected precipitation could lead to flash floods on small rivers and potentially trigger landslides and sandstorm activity in hilly and mountainous regions, with a medium level of danger.
