Schengen-entry documents to be verified at Georgian border checkpoints

Georgia will check the documentation required by Schengen Regulations at the Georgian border checkpoints from 2021, United Airports of Georgia announced on Wednesday.

If a Georgian citizen is prohibited from entering any EU/Schengen country or fails to submit the documents, he/she may be refused to depart from Georgia.

The documents required by law include a biometric passport, round-trip ticket, travel insurance policy, proofs of financial means, and accommodation.
