Salary of 10 thousand teachers to be increased for 2018-2019 academic year

The salary of approximately 10 thousand school teachers will be increased for the 2018-2019 academic year, – Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze made this statement at the presentation of the vision of Education Reform in Ikalto Monastery Complex today.
“The teacher’s wage policies will be reviewed. Approximately 10 thousand teachers will receive increased salaries during the 2018-2019 academic year, and for 2022 our goal is to have teacher’s salary three times higher”, – Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
According to him, the safe and healthy environment will be essential for strong and modern school.
