Sairme Mineral Waters staff goes on strike in Sairme

Employees at Sairme Mineral Waters, supported by the agricultural, trade, and industrial union Labour, went on strike in Sairme, seeking a 30% salary hike and safe working conditions.

According to the employees, the workplace is unsanitary, and the daily wage is only 44 GEL. The company employs 30 workers.

The trade union’s leader, Giorgi Diasamidze, said the strike would continue until the demands are met.

GPB First Channel reached the company’s administration for comments, which promised to respond in the afternoon.
