Russia's aggression against Georgia was condemned at US House of Representatives
At Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives, the hearing titled “Countering a Resurgent Russia” was held.
The following guests were invited at the session: Former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and Former United States Permanent Representative to NATO , Senior Research at Brookings Institution Victoria Nuland, Former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and Former United States Ambassador to Poland, Senior Research at Atlantic Council Daniel Fried and
Chairman of Institute for the Study of War, Former Acting Chief of Staff and Vice Chief of Staff of the US Army, General Jack Keane.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the guests and congressmen condemned the aggressive actions of Russia, including the occupation of Georgian and Ukrainian territories. They emphasized the importance of making more effective steps in response to Russian aggressive actions and talked about the ways of their implementation.
