Routes Europe 2025 names Tbilisi Airport among top 5 airports in handling 5 mln. passengers annually

Tbilisi International Airport was named among the top five airports with the capacity to handle 5 million passengers annually at Routes Europe 2025.

Bremen Airport, Corfu Airport, London Southend Airport and Vilnius Airport are in the same category.

The Routes Awards recognises the incredible work carried out by airlines, airports, and destinations in 2023 and 2024, along with their ongoing strategy for 2025.

Six new airlines enter the Georgian aviation market in the summer of 2025, including British Airways, EasyJet, Edelweiss and Transavia France.

The Tbilisi International Airport hit a record with the passenger traffic increase in 2024. The number of passengers served by the airport was 4,750,830, which is 29% higher than in the previous year and the pre-pandemic period.
