Following ongoing maintenance works, light vehicle traffic has been restored on the Gudauri (Post)-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway.
According to the Roads Department, traffic in other directions remains affected by heavy snowfall and challenging meteorological conditions. Consequently, special traffic regimes have been imposed on certain sections of the highways.
“Due to loose ice, heavy snow, and adverse weather conditions, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the Gudauri (Post)-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway; the Akhalsopeli transport hub to Boriti transport hub section of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway; the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestafoni highway (km 1–km 106); the Koda-Algeti village and km 110–km 146 sections of the Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda highway; the Nakerala pass; the Sachkhere-Racha road; the Partskhisi-Tetritskaro highway; the Marneuli-Tetritskaro-Tsalka highway; the Ofitara-Mele section of the Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lasdili highway; the Korenishi-Shovi section of the Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni road; and the Jvari-Ushguli section of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway.”
Due to avalanche risk, heavy snow, poor visibility, and blizzards, all vehicle traffic is temporarily restricted on the Paravni Pass; the Paksadzes Bridge-Utkisubani section of the Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe highway; the Nichbisi-Didgori-Didi Toneti highway; the Korsha-Shatili section; and the Ushguli-Lasdili section. Only off-road vehicles are permitted on the Batumi-Akhaltsikhe highway between km 50 and km 85. The Roads Department states that traffic remains free on all other road sections.
