Roads Department continues non-stop road cleaning

The Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure’s Roads Department reported that road cleaning operations are ongoing throughout the country.

Due to the high risk of avalanches, traffic restrictions remain in effect on the Mleta-Gudauri and Gudauri-Kobi sections.

The Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi road is open to 4WD vehicles. Trucks are not allowed to drive on the Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale section or the Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda-Kartsakhi road.

Light vehicles can drive in the direction of Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri. The roads Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili and Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili are both closed to all kinds of transport.

There is no traffic restriction on the Zugdidi-Jvari route.
