Roads Department bans traffic at several roads due to heavy snowfall, blizzards

The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure banned traffic movement for all types of motorcars at Gudauri-Kobi road section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway.

National Environment Agency warned of weather conditions worsening on December 23-26 with heavy snowfall, blizzards and poor visibility in the mountainous zones.

According to the Roads Department, movement is free across other road sections of the highway.

Movement is banned for trailers and semi-trailers at Nakerala Pass section of the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road.

Same type of transport means are prohibited to drive across Sachkhere-Uzunta-Shkmeri-Zudali road.

Due to heavy snowfall, blizzards and poor visibility, traffic is banned at Paravani Pass of the Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda highway.
