Rio de Janeiro Statue of Jesus lights up in Georgian flag colors

The statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, lit up in the colours of the Georgian national flag in connection with Georgia’s Independence Day.

According to the Foreign Ministry, organized by Georgian embassies, May 26 Independence Day will be marked in over 50 cities of the world.

“The celebration of Independence Day has started worldwide, organized by the embassies of Georgia. Diplomatic missions of Georgia celebrate this day with various events,” the Foreign Ministry said.
