Public Defender ready to meet March 7-9 demonstrators

Public Defender Levan Ioseliani said he is ready to meet all those protesters who believe that their rights to freedom of expression were violated during the March 7-9 rallies against the People’s Power-tabled Transparency of Foreign Influence bill.

The Public Defender echoed the March 14 public appeal of the rallying students released through TV Pirveli.

Levan Ioseliani said he would meet all those who were injured by the disproportional use of force or felt any threat from the government due to their political affiliation or viewpoints.

In the televised address, the students asked the Public Defender to protect them from possible persecution and repression on part of the ruling team and law enforcement structures.
