Protest underway against Transparency bill at First Republic Square

An NGOs-organized protest rally against the Draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence is taking place at the First Republic Square. Politicians also attend the demonstration.
The Georgian and European Union anthems opened the demonstration.
The protesters argue that the Georgian Dream-tabled law isolates Georgia from Europe.
“There are no more questions about the government’s desire to take this country to Russia and block all access to NATO and the European Union,” said Eka Gigauri, the head of Transparency International – Georgia.
The demonstrators plan to march to the Georgian parliament.
