Protest continues on Chavchavadze avenue

Protesters are continuing their demonstration on Chavchavadze Avenue, at Tbilisi State University.

Previously, the participants were stationed near the Tbilisi Concert Hall, having arrived there by marching from Rustaveli Avenue.

Chavchavadze Avenue is currently blocked off.

The protesters are chanting and urging citizens to join the rally.

Last night, the situation on Rustaveli Avenue became tense several times during the protest.

Participants threw fireworks and various objects at law enforcement officers, and in response, the police used water cannons and tear gas multiple times.
