Prosecutor’s Office requests bail as preventive measure for individual arrested on charges of violence against comedian Onise Okriashvili
The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia indicted an individual arrested on charges of violence against activist and comedian Onise Okriashvili under Article 126, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, during the night hours on July 22, the individual physically assaulted Onise Okriashvili for offending Georgian writer Nodar Dumbadze near his home in Tbilisi. Law enforcers detained the assailant in several houses.
The Prosecutor’s Office will petition the court within the statutory timeframe to impose bail of 5,000 GEL on the accused, secured by detention as a preventive measure.
