Prosecutor's Office plans to seize documents from Rustavi 2 contractors and question Nika Gvaramia
The General Prosecutor’s Office plans to seize documents from the contractors of the Rustavi 2 Broadcasting Company and to question Nika Gvaramia. It is reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office.
“In the course of the ongoing investigation into the case of misappropriation of power, a large amount of money and property owned by the Broadcasting Company Rustavi 2, the Prosecutor’s Office obtained a court order to seize documentation from the Rustavi 2 Broadcasting Company’s contractors, including InterMedia and InterMedia Plus. Along with other procedural and investigative activities, Prosecutor’s Office plans to summon the former director of Rustavi 2 TV Nikoloz Gvaramia for questioning”, – reads the statement released by the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Nika Gvaramia was dismissed from the post of Director-General of Rustavi 2 TV Company after when the National Public Registry (NAPR) registered Paata Salia, the lawyer of Kibar Khalvashi, as the Director-General of Company. After the announcement of the decision by Strasbourg Court, National Public Registry of Georgia registered Kibar Khalvashi as the owner of Rustavi 2 TV Company.
