Prosecutor’s Office indicts one individual for traffic accident in Gori which claimed lives of mother and child
Georgian Prosecutor’s Office indicted one individual for the traffic accident in Gori, which claimed the lives of a mother and a 3-year-old child.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) determined that the individual, being under the influence of alcohol, during the night hours on July 13, violated traffic safety rules and crashed the vehicle onto the mother and child, who both died in the clinic.
The detained driver was presented with a charge under Part 9, Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, pertaining to punishment by imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years.
The Prosecutor’s Office applied to the court for the imposition of imprisonment as a preventive measure against the indicted individual.
