The Prosecutor General of Georgia Irakli Shotadze hosted the American judge Mark Speiser at the Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday. The representatives of the Prosecutor Office informed the guest about the reforms and priority directions, the Prosecutor’s Office reported on Tuesday.
The meeting discussed the rules of electing the Prosecutor General, the mandate and functions of collegial bodies, the ethics and discipline issues, the priorities of the draft strategy of the Prosecutor’s Office for 2021-2025, juvenile justice and the jury trial in Georgia.
Irakli Shotadze thanked the guest for sharing his views and opinions on the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The American judge, Mark Spacer, said that he was very impressed by the efficient work of the staff. He said he had the opportunity to meet with them and share his experience.
