Produce in Georgia agency collaborates with Alshaya Group on Starbucks’ entry into Georgia

Mikheil Khidureli, Director of the Produce in Georgia agency within the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, has stated that over recent years, the agency has been working closely and intensively with Alshaya Group regarding the introduction of the Starbucks brand to the Georgian market.

“The process of bringing Starbucks into Georgia has now reached an active phase. In 2025, a senior delegation from the company visited Georgia. They are engaged in comprehensive market research, location scouting, and meetings with potential partners, all in close coordination with our agency,” Khidureli explained.

He added that the market research encompasses assessments of Tbilisi, Batumi, and other major cities, where the company is considering establishing multiple outlets.

“The Georgian Embassy in Kuwait is also actively involved in this process. Once Alshaya Group makes a final decision, the agency will jointly issue an official statement alongside the company,” Khidureli concluded.
