Procedural and Rules Committee supports pre-term MP mandate termination to Irakli Kobakhidze, Irakli Chikovani
The Georgian Parliamentary Procedural and Rules Committee discussed the pre-term termination of MP mandates to Irakli Kobakhidze and Irakli Chikovani. The two GD members assumed duties in the executive government.
Irakli Kobakhidze, former Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, was appointed the Prime Minister, while MP Irakli Chikovani became the Defence Minister.
The Committee members supported the MP mandate termination for Irakli Kobakhidze and Irakli Chikovani and wished them success.
Eighty-four legislators backed Irakli Kobakhidze and his new government, while ten voted against them in the February 8 vote.
