“One part of the opposition gave up regarding the Constitutional lawsuit, while others keep coming up with various excuses; Gakharia’s party is requesting that their case be separated from the rest. Given the lack of evidence, they will face significant difficulties, and during public discussions, the motives and objectives of the constitutional lawsuit will become even more convincing and clear to the public,” said Davit Matikashvili, Chair of the parliamentary Procedural Affairs Committee.

According to Matikashvili, this is the party which kept boycotting the parliament until the October 4 revolutionary scenario failed.

“This is the party which, alongside the National Movement, successfully created alliances in different city assemblies. Together with the parent party, the goal of their activities was to carry out unconstitutional activities. Whether or not their case should be separated is our affair; this is up to judges to decide,” he said.
