The Georgian National Communications Commission reports that starting July 1, 2019, the price for 1 MB/s of global internet will be reduced from 32 to 9 GEL.
The commission studied the fixed and mobile telecommunications market and found out that the market is competitive and there is no need to set the regulations and increase prices as provider operator companies demanded earlier.
The Communications Commission underlines that the most correct way to improve the telecommunications market is liberalization of the wholesale market. The commission continues studying the segment of fixed internet.
