President Zourabichvili: Erroneous to blame one another for failing to implement EU recommendations

It will be wrong for anyone to blame others for failing to implement European recommendations, said Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili during a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, responding to the GPB First Channel about implementing the EC-proposed 12-point priorities.

The President remarked that Georgia’s route to membership in the European Union became clear as its European allies showed comprehensive support and granted Georgia the European Perspective.

President Zourabichvili claims that Georgia’s twelve proposals serve as an action plan, with the country’s people firmly committed to “going along this route.”

“There are political factors at work, and the picture is clear. Nobody can blame anybody else for failure in this matter. This is the most common misconception: one side may triumph by blaming the other. It is in the national interest, and everyone should recognize it,” Zourabichvili stated.
