President Sakellaropoulou: Greece supports Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration

Greece supports Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou said following the meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.

Katerina Sakellaropoulou emphasized the centuries-old ties between the two countries. She said that Greece closely observes the developments in the South Caucasus region.

Georgian FM thanked Katerina Sakellaropoulou for her steadfast support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the country’s aspiration for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

“We value warm relations between our nations. Working in this direction will continue to bring our peoples closer and popularize our cultures,” Darchiashvili said.

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili paid an official visit to Greece on February 15-16. He met President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou and his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.
