President of Turkmenistan lays wreath at Heroes Memorial to honour fallen Georgian heroes
The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is currently on a state visit to Georgia, has laid a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes Fallen in the Fight for Georgia’s Territorial Integrity, accompanied by members of his delegation.
Alongside the official guests, the Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, paid tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers at Heroes’ Square.
A face-to-face meeting between the Turkmen President and the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is scheduled for later today, after which both parties will discuss bilateral cooperation in an expanded format.
The Turkmen delegation is visiting Georgia on an official state visit.
