Georgian President: April 19 agreement to deepen Georgia’s progress on Euro-Atlantic road

The April 19th agreement reached in the country will deepen the progress Georgia makes on the Euro-Atlantic road, President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili wrote on Twitter.

According to President, during the conversation with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, she reaffirmed Georgia’s path to NATO ahead of the upcoming NATO summit. The President also discussed Georgia’s cooperation in Afghanistan in the coming months.

“Great talking to Jens Stoltenberg today to reaffirm Georgia’s path to NATO ahead of its upcoming summit and talk about our cooperation in Afghanistan in the coming months. The April 19 agreement reached in Georgia will deepen the progress we make on our Euro-Atlantic road,” President Zourabichvili tweeted.

The Georgian political parties signed A way ahead for Georgia, a compromise document submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.
