President Mikheil Kavelashvili pays tribute to Junkers and laid wreaths at Parliament memorial
President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili, alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani, and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, has paid homage to the memory of the Junkers who lost their lives in the Battle of Kojori-Tabakhmela against the Russian army in 1921.
The President laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the Junkers, situated in the courtyard of the Parliament, and attended a funeral service in honour of the fallen in the Annunciation Chapel of the Parliament.
