President to meet with media, NGOs regarding amendments to Law on Broadcasting
Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili will meet with representatives of the media, non-governmental sector and all parties concerned regarding amendments to the Law on Broadcasting on December 18.
According to the President’s Parliamentary Secretary Ana Dolidze, amendments to the Law on Broadcasting concern very important public issues – the media, freedom of expression and existence of an objective broadcaster.
“In this regard, society has expressed much criticism and remarks, therefore, the President of Georgia intends to meet all the parties who have expressed these opinions – the media and non-governmental sector in order to discuss the critical aspects of the issue being considered by the Parliament,” Dolidze said.
